Donald
Schuster, aka “DJ Shine”, is a Mobile DJ, Master of
Ceremonies (MC), and Party Coordinator. He has operated his DJ
Service full-time for over 15 years.
Prior to his DJ Service, Donald worked on the air at multiple
Detroit Radio Stations & TV Stations. His positions included
on-air DJ & Programming Management… as well as Account
Executive & Sales Management.
Donald’s life-long interest in being a DJ began when he
was 7 years old and his older brother suggested they “play
radio station”. Donald thought it was the “funnest”
thing he had ever done… and, from that day forward, he had
his sight set on being a DJ.
His vision stayed right on track when he got his first job at
a major Detroit Radio Station while attending Harper Woods High
School.
One month after graduating high school, Donald had his first
job on the air as a full-time Detroit based disc jockey. He remained
on the air as a DJ in Detroit as he began his college years at
Wayne State, from which he would eventually graduate with a degree
in Business Administration. While attending Wayne State, Donald
also became the youngest Program Director of a major radio station
in Detroit… a rock music station known as W4 at 106.7FM.
Following other radio station positions and a stint as an instructor
at the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, Donald began a stretch
in Media Advertising Sales working for WWJ at 97.1FM, WOMC at
104.3FM, and, eventually Sales Manager at WWJ Newsradio 950.
While Donald was in five-year stretch as an Account Executive
at WDIV-TV NBC Channel 4, Donald decided he would like to “go
back to his roots” as a DJ. He started his own DJ Service
in 1990 and has been full-time in his business ever since.
Donald’s clients love his ability to mix music in such
a way that it appeals to their guests of all ages. They appreciate
that he plays the music at a volume level that is both satisfying
for those dancing and appropriate for those that are talking.
His clients appreciate his warm and non-cheesy style as an MC…

Jon Ray
Jon
Ray is a Disc Jockey steeped in experience both as a Radio DJ
and Mobile Party DJ.
Jon is currently part of the Management Team in his role as Programming
Assistant at Oldies 104.3... WOMC Radio. He has been the Music
Director at Detroit's WMGC Radio: Magic 105.1 FM. Jon has also
been heard helping out with occasional on-air work on WCSX Classic
Rock 94.7 FM. In addition, Jon's professional radio background
includes 11 years at WHND "Honey Radio" where he was
the Assistant Program Director. His duties at WHND also included
extensive on-air work as a disc jockey (including the prestigious
6am-10am Morning Show).
Jon's radio background before arriving in the Detroit Market
includes on-air work at WSAM in Saginaw, WTRX in Flint, and WVIC
in Lansing.
Jon has been a Mobile DJ for over 19 years, including a period
of time when Jon was the owner of his own Mobile Disc Jockey Business
supervising as many as seven parties in an evening.
